Turn around (Every now and then I get a little bit lonely...)

The new set-up in the Pilot
Another milestone to check off the list -- turning around the ol' car seat! We were trying so hard to hold off on this because of the new AAP recommendation about backward vs. forward facing car seats (these days you're supposed to wait until age two to go forward http://www.cnn.com/2011/HEALTH/03/21/car.seat.guidelines.parenting/index.html), but our girl is pretty much the size of a 2-year-old, at least in the height department. Putting her in the rear-facing position was getting to be a challenge lately, as her calves were starting to climb the seat in front of her. Good for a stretch, maybe, but difficult to get her in there without bending something the wrong way and not such a comfortable car ride. Anyway, as you can see by the pictures above, the new arrangement seems like a good fit!

It was another beautiful day, so we hit Trailside Park with GamB and Grandpa followed by lunch at Ruby Tuesday (thank you for treating, M&D). Collin loved his shrimp (he ate 5 jumbo pieces!), and our Olivia had fun tasting the various samplings from the salad bar and devoured two decent-sized chicken fingers (she couldn't resist the honey mustard dip). Both kids (and their parents) were a little messed up from the spring ahead time change and more than ready for bed by 7:30 new time (which would have been 6:30 just yesterday). We are looking forward to more lovely weather this week, with Thursday and Friday's temps projected to be in the high 70s!!! Bring it, springtime!

We're going to the moon!
